For our founder, Enrique Murio, a young man based in the UK, that love was personified by a loyal, furry friend. As a devoted pet owner, Enrique experienced first-hand the worry that creeps in when your pet seems just a little bit off. He realised that many pet owners hesitate to go to the vet unless something is clearly wrong, often missing the early, crucial signs of health issues.
This simple, shared anxiety became the catalyst for everything we do. We're here to turn that worry into peace of mind, making proactive pet health a stress-free habit, not an expensive emergency.
From a Gap in the System to a New Standard of Care
Enrique quickly saw a disconnect in the UK pet healthcare industry. Excellent, dedicated Vet Practices were out there, but many pet owners lacked an easy, affordable, and motivating reason to visit regularly. He noticed that the focus was often on treating illness, not preventing it.
This is why Animal Health Check was born: to bridge that gap.
Enrique's vision was to create an agency that didn't just market services, but genuinely empowered pet owners to take the first step. By connecting high-quality, trusted veterinary clinics across the UK with pet owners through accessible and appealing offers, such as our Free Pet Health Check campaign, we encourage that vital first visit.

1. About Animal Health Check
Animal Health Check is a service that connects pet owners with approved veterinary practices to carry out health check consultations.
We facilitate bookings and manage appointment logistics on behalf of partner clinics.2. Booking & Deposit
A small £10 refundable booking deposit is required to secure your appointment.
This deposit is fully refunded upon attendance of your scheduled appointment.
The deposit helps ensure appointment availability and reduce missed bookings.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule your appointment with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment, or failure to attend, may result in the deposit being retained.
If you need to make changes, please contact us as soon as possible.
4. Attendance
Please arrive on time for your appointment.
Late arrivals may result in reduced consultation time or cancellation.
If you fail to attend your appointment, your deposit may not be refunded.
5. Nature of Service
Animal Health Check provides initial health assessments only.
Any further treatment, diagnostics, or procedures will be discussed directly with the veterinary practice and may incur additional costs.
We do not provide medical advice outside of the consultation with a qualified vet.
6. Veterinary Responsibility
All consultations are carried out by independent, qualified veterinary professionals at partner clinics.
The veterinary practice is responsible for the clinical advice, diagnosis, and treatment provided.
7. Liability
Animal Health Check is not liable for any outcomes resulting from veterinary consultations, treatments, or advice provided by partner clinics.
We act solely as a booking and coordination service.
8. Personal Information
By booking, you agree to provide accurate information about yourself and your pet.
Your data will be used to manage your booking and shared with the relevant veterinary practice where necessary.
9. Changes to Service
Animal Health Check reserves the right to modify or update these terms at any time.
Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any updates.

Can I come if I’m with another vet?
Yes, you’re welcome to visit us even if you’re registered with another vet. This is a 20-minute consultation with you and your pet, where we’ll cover any concerns you may have
What makes this health check different?
